How we work

Come and see us

Give us a call and arrange a time to visit our factory show home for an initial consultation. With homes ready to go, you can get a good feel for the quality of our builds and the options available to you. We know all the right questions to ask to understand what you want and need out of your new home, and can help you decide whether a prefabricated home is right for you.

Planning and design

You’ll work with our architectural team to confirm your final design. If you’re building off one of our existing plans, you can also customise the design and layout to suit your requirements, budget and site.

We’ll get your build underway

Behind the scenes, we take care of your building consent and your application of relocation consent. We’ll begin work on your new home. We have high standards of workmanship, and only use quality materials sourced from local suppliers.

Follow progress of your build

Once construction has commenced, we will arrange a time for you to meet with our project manager to chat about the final details that make all the difference to comfort - things like power points, switches and aerials. There’s flexibility to choose a design and interior finishes that suit your tastes and lifestyle. We’ll also put you in touch with our recommended suppliers so you can personalise your interior design decisions, like paint colour and flooring.

Final decisions

You can still be part of the process; we welcome you to make appointments for site walks as your build progresses. We aim to have your build completed within 10-12 weeks, but we’ll keep you updated throughout the process if anything changes.

Transportation

Once your home is completed, it's carefully loaded on the truck by our talented transportation team, Central House Movers, and on its way to you. Prior to departure we will advise the delivery date to ensure you can capture the exciting arrival in person and on camera - it’s a pretty special moment seeing your new home arrive, ready to be lived in! On most occasions, Central House Movers are happy for you to co-pilot if you’re up for an all-nighter! Talk to us about this prior to delivery.
